Physical Education Department Rules
Students will dress for class every day! Dressing is not optional; it is mandatory! The student will be given a uniform to wear if he or she forgot theirs at home. The borrowed uniforms must be returned to the coach at the end of the class period. If the students refuses to wear the uniform, then a referral will be written and the student will be sent to TIPS. Students will lose 5 points off of their grade each day they borrow a uniform or refuse to dress for class.
Boys must wear shirts at all times, no matter inside or outside of the gyms.
Shorts are to worn around the waist and shirts will be tucked in. Sagging is not permitted.
No excuses for not dressing. A written excuse from a parent/guardian will allow the student to sit out and not participate due to illness or injury. The written excuse from a parent if good for 2 class periods, however the student will still be expected to dress in their PE uniform and observe class.
If you are to be out of class for longer than 2 class periods, you must have a doctor’s statement stating the date(s) that you are to be inactive and the date(s) you can return to activity.
Lock all personal belongings in your lockers! Make sure that your name is on your uniform so that it can be returned to you if it is lost or stolen.
The students are responsible for washing their own uniforms.
No jewelry is allowed in class and hair is to be pulled back in a ponytail for class.
