Washington Junior High

Youth Services Coordinator

CIS Program at Washington Jr. High

Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and to achieve in life. The CIS Program at Washington Junior High School embraces this mission statement in a variety of ways.

Enrollment into the program is simple. It begins the first day of school; teacher, parent, principal, counselor, law enforcement or self-referral requesting placement into the program is all that it takes.

Each student is given a Goal Sheet, with long term and short term goal objectives. Goals must be realistic and achievable, and may be modified throughout the school year.

Grades and attendance are areas of observations. If a student’s grade falls drastically or absences increase; the CIS Site Coordinator meets with him/her and inquire about the change.
